What exactly are Asperger's syndrome and high-functioning autism? Asperger's syndrome and high-functioning autism are complex neurobiological disorders characterized by varying degrees of impairment in communication skills and social abilities. On the other hand, those shortcomings are very often counter-balanced by a unique combination of strengths: laser-like focus, attention to detail, superior ability to spot irregularities, superlative technical skills, lack of boredom with highly-repetitive tasks. Aspiritech's mission is to solve the employment challenge in the Asperger's/HFA community by aligning these unique skillsets with the needs of the business community, while at the same time mitigating the workplace challenges through a combination of intensive training and support.
If people with Asperger's and HFA have executive function issues, how can I be sure they'll do a good job with software testing? We leverage neuro-typical managers to develop test cases and scripts, and to generally manage the operations. Armed with clearly defined tasks, our testers are then free to focus on what they excel at – human-powered software testing.
I'd like to explore how Aspiritech can meet my company's needs? Contact director of operations Moshe Weitzberg, PhD at moshe@aspiritech.org or at 847-542-6863.
